At first, they each plan separate schemes to deal with their cheating spouses. However, after confiding in each other, the two women decide to work together to rein in the mistresses, whom they assume are different people. Joan realizes that her husband’s mistress, Sandra, has been encouraging him to treat her better, subtly building up his self-esteem. Intrigued by the positive influence Sandra has on Mark, Ann decides to hire Sandra to “tame” Noah and perhaps even bring him back to her.
