Elena goes into premature labor, but her husband Ethan refuses to take her to the hospital because he is waiting for his best friend, Sophia, to finish getting ready. Heartbroken by his selfishness, Elena calls her powerful ex, Luca, who rushes to the hospital and stays by her side. After giving birth, Elena decides to leave Ethan and start over with her daughter. Luca protects Elena and Lily and welcomes them into his family. Meanwhile, Ethan’s life begins to fall apart. After losing Elena’s family’s support, his company goes bankrupt. Sophia’s cruel behavior is also exposed, destroying her carefully built image as the “perfect best friend.” Elena finally leaves her unfaithful husband behind and finds the love, respect, and happiness she truly deserves.
